Chocolate cherry with a sprig of mint

Hello ladies,

I am very excited to begin sharing the Nubar Chocolate Truffle collection with you. I am wearing Cherry Cordial, a warm brown with fine pink shimmer and hints of green duochrome. This brown has vestiges of red much like looking at a richly stained piece of mahogany.

Pastel green special polish adds mint flavor. I stamped the Fleur de lis pattern from Konad plate M15. Pale green marquis rhinestones were placed at the base of each French flower.

I will include a portrait of the entire chocolate assortment once the cloud cover departs. I missed the brighter noontime sun today, but I did catch some diffuse light before the rain commenced.

A pretty street tree in center city Philadelphia. I love how every color of fall from red to yellow-green was illustrated by the foliage.

A view of Fitler Square.

Cherry Cordial has the trademark Nubar application. It's pigmented enough to cover easily in two coats. Nubar has the big three free formula perfected. I feel more like I am working with quality art paint than nail polish.

I am glad Nubar sent these to me to review. While I am very excited to try the rest of the chocolates, I am going to be alternating these with looks from the Diamond Cosmetics Winter Collection and the Borghese Allegra Mini set. Even for an earthy girl, six days of brown is quite a commitment!

The Chocolate Truffle collection is available at The set also includes Foundation Base Coat and Diamont topcoat.

Happy painting, ladies!

  1. I really like the look you I want mint chocolate candies! Your Fall photos are so pretty, I love this time of the year.

  2. That is a very pretty mani, I love how you put the mint with it!

  3. Your mani's are always so cute. I love your ideas.

  4. What a lovely color! perfect for fall, it might be named cherry cordial but it reminds me of the autumn leaves.

  5. Beautiful manicure. I love all of the Nubar Chocolate collection. The Fleur de lis pattern is a beautiful pattern. What a beautiful flower. I used to love walking around center city when I was a teenager. My girlfriend and I would skip school and take a bus over to just explore the city. I miss doing that.

  6. Love your nails!! The colour looks great and the Konad stamp looks like the Quebec flag.

The leaves look beautiful too! I love that tree with all the colours.

  7. Mary: Thank you! Have you seen the Hershey's miniatures assortment with mint for the holidays? It has been tempting me! There have been some great yellows with the leaf change this year. :)
