Hello ladies,
I wanted to create a cooling manicure as an antidote to the humid weather in Philadelphia. I am wearing Blue Fantasy from Diamond Cosmetics. There is a hint of gold duochrome blended with the pale blue. The combination makes me think of sun and sky.
I stamped the wave of flowers from Bundle Monster plate BM11. I chose Konad blue pearl special polish to create a tone on tone look. To adorn the flowers, I added two sizes of iridescent crystals and blue pearls.
Lilies along the garden fence.

Blue Fantasy is difficult to classify. This polish seems to exist between a frost and a pearl finish. There are brushstrokes to contend with in application. The formula is also sheer. I painted three coats of Blue Fantasy over two coats of Brucci 2 in 1 Nail Perfection. I let my whitening base coat dry for a bit before adding color. While I love the look of the pearly blue, this polish does require extra care to achieve opacity.
No, it's time to eat greens. This little bunny ate lunch and watched me through the garden fence as I took pictures, first of him and then of my nails.

I have been enjoying creating summer theme manicures with colors from the Diamond Cosmetics core line. I will also be showing more from the upcoming Fall Collection this week.
Blue Fantasy was sent to me for review. This shade is available for purchase from diamondcosmetics.com for $2.25. For a chance to win 12 bottles of polish from Diamond Cosmetics plus your choice of a treatment product, please stop by the Ladies' Choice of Diamonds Anniversary Giveaway.
Happy painting, ladies!
Your manicures are so inspiring! I loove them all!

Awww...you got good pictures of that rabbit! Where do you take your pictures?
ReplyDeleteAlexisaraus: Thanks so much! I am so glad you enjoy the looks I create. <3
ReplyDeleteSerena: Thanks! Most of my pictures are taken in the community garden in my neighborhood. I also take photos occasionally at Longwood Gardens, Bartram's Garden and other horticultural centers in the vicinity. I have been known to take pictures of my nails in front of neighbor's flowerpots. I live downtown so any flowers that are street side may end up as backgrounds. :)
oH my! This mani is breath-taking! :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I hope everything is okay with your sister. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteNow, what a cute lil bunny :) And good job with the cooling manicure~ they really look cool to the touch ;)
Starlight: Thank you! I know how much you love celestial colors. :)
ReplyDeleteJen: Thanks so much both for your well wishes and your compliments. We're not really sure what the situation is yet with my sister. She has blood work and an MRI scheduled this week. I wanted to let everyone know for the good energy and also for the understanding that I may be posting a little less. <3
I love bunnies! I am so excited each time I see a bunny. I live downtown, so there aren't too many. They seem to find me though.

ReplyDeletei love your manicure, the stamping and rhinestones add a little something :D
Very pretty mani. I have to get my hands on that bundle monster set ;)
ReplyDeleteI like that the flowers are in the middle of the nail, not the end.
ReplyDeleteThats really pretty, makes me think cool and icy.
ReplyDeleteGreat manicure and your garden is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mani. And what a nice garden!
ReplyDeleteYou always create the loveliest combinations, Diana! This is no exception. Those lilies are GORGEOUS.
ReplyDeleteso feminine! i love it
ReplyDeleteAwww... Widdle baby bunny. *melts*
ReplyDeleteI like this manicure so much. I am a total sucker for blue.
Such a gorgeous base color! I'm mad about blue/gold and blue/silver polishes. Lovely choice of konad too -- exactly like the forget-me-nots that bloom here in Georgia in the springtime.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my new fave manicure! Absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThere doesn'tseem to have been too much sun around that day in your photos. That's quite a fabulous colour, I can't resist my favourite colour blue, but it'd be even more amazing if it only took the common 2 coats to opacity.
ReplyDeleteI love bunnies too. This one having lunch is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour choice of colors in this mani does having a cooling effect. I'm going to have to look through my stash for an ice blue and see it if helps me too. This week is going to be blistering hot!
No need to keep your nails from sizzling too. :)
A very icy and cool manicure. I love everything you do. Pretty floral design.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty! I think my MIL (mother-in-law) would like something like this done to her nails!
