Hello ladies,
At the last moments of August, the temperature in Philadelphia asserts that summer is still in residence. I decided to create a cooling manicure to help offset the weather. I can imagine this look worn in January under wool mittens.
I began with the glittering grey from the Color Club Untamed Luxury Collection. The polish is De-luxe-cious. I am rather in love with this shade. The grey base is stirred with silver and holographic glitter. The bottle is as entertaining as a snow globe.
I chose the starry flowers image from fauxnad plate H30. I used white Konad special polish for stamping. My inability to resist the mirror gems from the Art Club Boudoir Collection continues. I alternated with the white buttons from the gem wheel.
The diffuse light photo below best displays the stamping design and gem placement. The brighter, sunlit pictures will show more of what De-luxe-cious can do.
De-luxe-cious needed three coats and a layer of topcoat to best showcase it's wonders. It looks decent at two coats, but I highly recommend adding a third. I don't think I own another grey based glitter polish. It looks like the month of February went to a disco. I love it!
This polish was sent to me for review. Color Club Untamed Luxury can be purchased at Victoria Nail Supply. The Art Club Boudoir Collection was provided for review. ReplyDeleteEnamel Girl: Thanks so much! I am really loving this shade. <3
ReplyDeleteThat is one sparkly polish. Pretty manicure. The variety of flowers is wonderful. I think they make the polish take a backseat.
ReplyDeleteLucy: Thank you! You know how much I love sparkles! I am so glad it has been so sunny here so I could capture them for you. I had a great time today in the garden. <3
ReplyDeleteI really like the white against the color. A really dark rich blue would have been nice too. But love it, but then I always love your nails hence you are on my blog roll hehehe:)
ReplyDeleteI'm always looking forward to see your flowery nailpics. Such a beautiful manicure. Love the combo of buttons and gems.
ReplyDeletexo!
Woww, nice color and nice desing :D
ReplyDeleteOh, I love what you've done with this shade, Diana! It's such a pretty shade anyway - and your manicure reminds me of a winter ball. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers! And the design is so intricate and pretty. Makes a nice contrast to the sparkly polish
ReplyDeleteThe holo sparkle is so beautiful <3
ReplyDeleteWow,it's surely looks great...I love your flowers too :-)
ReplyDeletepaintedbluestars: Thanks! I thought about blue as well after the fact. I love mixing white, grey, silver and blue. It feels calm and cool. You're on my blogroll too, dear one. <3
ReplyDeleteDaria: Thanks so much! I admit the combination of gems was born out of indecision, but I am happy with how well they paired. :)
Salisha: Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed todays look. <3
Nicole: Thanks! What a beautiful description! I need to go find a hoop skirt and crinolines. ;)
ReplyDeleteMillie: Thank you! Stamping over glitter polish has been entertaining me recently. Wait until you see the next look I post!
Silhouette Screams: Thanks! I will admit to flitting my fingers around in the sun. ;)
Zana: Thank you! I am so lucky to have a community garden nearby. <3
I love all of these grey-based polishes that have been showing up for fall!I would think it would be hard to stamp on top of that much glitter.
ReplyDeleteStarlight: It seems like grey is having a resurgence! I use CND Air Dry fast dry topcoat. It smoothes out glitters very well. I don't find stamping over them to present difficulty. :)
ReplyDeleteYour swatch is so pretty and the color really shimmers in the sunlight. Thanks for swatching!
ReplyDeleteI love the grey and the glitters! ^^ I agree with you on being able to use this shade in the coming cold months. Gorgeous! c:
