Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution

Hello ladies,

I recently had the opportunity to experience Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution. I have been using the Relaxing blend scented with eucalyptus and spearmint essential oils. I am amazed how, with the addition of natural fragrance, such a traditional and basic product can offer spa-like indulgence.

Epsom salt is composed of crystalized magnesium sulfate. When dissolved into a warm bath, epsom salt will assist in replenishing the body of magnesium. Soaking in epsom salts can aid in stress reduction, help lower blood pressure, and increase circulation. It has a long tradition of being employed to heal the body of aches and pains.

I began by adding a couple handfuls of Soaking Solution to a heated bath. I had the good fortune to use this product in my sister's bathtub with massaging jets. The aroma of the salts is clean and refreshing. The scent lightly perfumed my skin and hair for hours after my bath.

I can't express how throughly my family appreciated the eucalyptus spearmint fragrance. My teenage nieces and my sister spoke so highly of the product I didn't feel right bringing it back with me to Philadelphia. When I visit my family, I also visit my bag of Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution.

My sister has an antique scalloped dish with epsom salt on display in her bathroom. She mixes a small amount with liquid soap to act as a refreshing hand scrub. She enjoys the pure and natural scent and the thorough cleansing brought from scrubbing with epsom salt. I imagine this technique would be auspicious for the coarser skin on feet, knees and elbows.

Dr. Teal's offers the following blends: Lavender for sleep, Eucalyptus Spearmint for relaxation, Chamomile for calming, Amber Vanilla for sensuality and Mandarin Lime for rejuvenation. Although each formula sounds tempting, I am especially interested in trying the Lavender and Amber Vanilla fragrances.

If you are searching for effective, affordable and beautifully scented bath items, I recommend purchasing Dr. Teal's at your local drug store. They may alter your perception of epsom salts from household staple to spa treatment.

Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution was sent to me for review. More information about the entire Dr. Teal's line of products is available at drteals.com. For a list of retail stores in the US and Canada, please visit the where to buy page. A three pound (1.36 Kg) bag retails for $4.99.

Happy painting, ladies.

Too bad I'm so far away from US! Have to find a decent epsom salt in local stores!

  4. Oooh, that Mandarin Lime combination sounds heavenly! I'm a sucker for lavender-scented anything, and the Amber Vanilla sounds decadent. I'm thinking these sound like they could be every bit as luxurious as a LUSH bath product! (At a much better price!)
