New code for a free Konad image plate at OC Nail Art!

Hello ladies,

I have some great news for Konad stamping enthusiasts! OC Nail Art is offering a free image plate of your choice with any purchase of $30 or more. To receive the discount, select a design plate and add it to your order, then type in the code: paintedladyfingers. The price of the image plate will be automatically removed from your order.

I don't receive anything from sharing the code other than the good feeling of offering a great deal for you ladies. I am more than happy to do so. Many thanks to Kathleen for putting this together for readers of painted Lady fingers! You can view the full line of Konad products at ocnailart.com.

Residents of the US and Canada receive free shipping on orders of $20 or more. All other locations worldwide receive free shipping with a purchase of $40 or more.

I have some fauna for you as well. Below are my sister's two dogs: Max, a white purebred German Shepherd and Elf, a Miniature Pinscher.

I'm on a boat. Max awaits his companions for a canoe ride.
Elf is a fine navigator. His keen senses are apparent as he surveys both water and land.

Max wades in the shallow areas.

Behind my sister's house, there is a tree-lined creek. The dogs occasionally accompany us in the canoe. It makes for a tipsy and often hilarious ride as Max and Elf move about in excitement. We stop in front of a small island in the center of the creek and let them run. Remaining aboard, we dangle our feet in the water and watch their antics. Two dogs, two ladies and one canoe. There is your whimsy for the day!

Happy painting, ladies!

  1. That sounds like an absolutely lovely day. All you need it some sandwiches. :)

  2. peripatetic33: I wish you could see the two of them wrestling!

Anita: We had a really nice time. I don't think our two furry companions would have left the canoe without more than their fair share of sandwiches. ;)

  3. What a wonderful life those animals lead! Must be wonderful to live near a creek. I've never been in a canoe.

  4. Ahhh all these cute animals running around on here.

And thanks a million for the code!
Does it expire at any point in time? I've been planning a ocnailart haul, and this is an awesome opportunity, but I'm kind of not supposed to be buying....*looks around*

  5. Lucy: My sister's household has quite the menagerie! The creek is so peaceful. The tricky thing is getting into the canoe. The fact that I am usually wearing dresses complicates the process. ;)

    Twister: Thanks so much! <3

Chaos Butterfly: It's been rainy here, so I have been assembling all my animal photos! So much fun!

The code has been approved through Konad. While there isn't an expiration listed, they have modified and removed codes in the past. I might not be the best person to recommend self control in nail art supply purchasing. ;)

  6. Max is beautiful! Is he deaf? I have often heard that all-white versions of normally colorful breeds can be.

I am so nervous to try Konads! What would be some good "starter" plates to try? Thanks for the super sweet promo code! :)

  8. Mickellerox: Thanks! Max has standard hearing. I found a site about deafness in dogs. I was curious too! http://www.deafdogs.org/faq/#causes.

Many people like using full nail plates. I would recommend plates where the design doesn't have a border you have to line up perfectly. M57 is popular as is M63.

My situation is different because my nail beds have a curve. I have narrow nails that are proportionate to my small hands. The Konad full plate designs are oversized for me width wise. I prefer centering smaller designs.

As a general rule, the more bold and clean lined the design, the simpler it is to stamp. M75 is super easy to stamp. Konad white special polish is the easiest to learn with. I find black the trickiest. I also recommend the plastic scraper.

    I hope that helps!
