Pink honeycomb

Hello ladies,

Today I created a pink manicure for Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA). South Beach Pink from Diamond Cosmetics is such a vibrant shade. My manicure garnered attention and I was able to discuss the topic in an approachable way. I will definitely be doing more BCA manicures in October.

I love hexagons! They make me think of honeycomb. From design plate T32, I stamped the geometric pattern with Konad white special polish. I alternated the positioning of the design every other nail. This look was embellished with pink hexagons from Bundle Monster as well as pink pearls and rainbow crystals.
The pink crystal is a gorgeous piece of kunzite. It is my pretty, borrowed trinket for the day.

This bright pink has a jelly formula. I feel like I am wearing candy on my nails. South Beach Pink took three coats to be perfectly opaque. The color built easily on the nail.

This manicure seems sweet to me. The gems look a bit like sprinkles.

South Beach Pink was sent to me for review. US residents can purchase this shade at diamondcosmetics.com. For international availability, please see this post.

Image plate T32 was provided for my consideration. To view the full line of nail art stamping plates, please visit chez-delaney.com. Would you like a chance to win four autumn theme design plates from chez-delaney? Stop by Trick-or-Polish? A Halloween Giveaway to enter.

Happy painting, ladies!

  8. I bought this plate just for this design, I love it! I love when you use pearls and I ordered some, but I am wondering what size do you use? 1.5 mm, 2mm? Thanks so much in advance! :)

  12. Michelle: That's awesome! For size reference, the rainbow crystals on my ring and pointer fingers are minis. They are the same size as the pearls. I don't have a ruler handy and the pearl wheel doesn't note size. I can say the pearls I use are one size down from standard crystals. I hope that helps.

Lucy: Your warm comments really mean a lot to me. We are entering the prop time of year. I will have many more pretty crystals and trinkets to share. <3

  17. Hexagons are awesome! They are mathematically *awesome* and aren't used enough. Though, coincidentally I found a hexagonal Battleship game at Walmart yesterday!

  18. I like the simplicity of this mani. It's a great contrast to the often complex manis you have. Sometimes you need something easy and quick and subtle and sometimes you need complex and eyecatching. :)
