FOTD: Fawn of the Day

Hello ladies,

I went on a woodland walk with my friend Sarada yesterday. The weather was temperate and overcast. The afternoon was suffused with a green glow from the moss and leaves. Along the Violet Path at the Wildflower Preserve, we made the acquaintance of a lovely forest creature: the spotted fawn.
A friendly faun, she was no shrinking violet.

Striking a pose!

The little faun was almost tame. She was as curious about us as we were about her. Only a few feet away from the Violet Path sign, she seemed to enjoy the interest and attention. As we walked along the path, she trotted about the greenery nearby occasionally stopping to listen to us beckon her. Such a sweet little baby! I hope we can see her again when she's grown.

 Happy painting, ladies!

  2. Awwwwwww. I've seen baby deer on the banks, but I was not fortunate to have a camera as the dogs and I went sailing by in the canoe. You are lucky. Love, me.

  3. This little Bamb-ette is adorable! Where was her mommy? I'm so glad she lives in a preserve.
