Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15

Hello ladies,

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer brings the opportunity to even your skin tone while providing SPF 15 protection. This moisturizer enhances the complexion with a hint of color and shields the face from UV damage.

Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer is available in five hues: fair, light, medium, tan and deep. I tested the fair tone and it matched my skin perfectly! I am excited because I have always wanted to use a tinted moisturizer, but never found one light enough to blend seamlessly with my complexion. For those ladies with porcelain skin, the fair tinted moisturizer gets my recommendation. With five shades in the range, there is likely to be a suitable match for most skin tones.

The SPF 15 is another favorable quality of this moisturizer. Since I require only a small amount to help my complexion appear even, I apply Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer over my regular facial sunscreen. Easy to layer, this product doesn't cause my sunscreen to pill or shift.

The consistency of this moisturizer is thinner than a typical sunscreen. It absorbs readily into the skin. If you are uncomfortable with the weight and texture of traditional facial sunscreens, Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer offers a light slipcover to the skin for moderate sun protection.

This is a great product to give as a gift to teens to help encourage them into the habit of using sun protection. My teenage nieces love the Hard Candy brand as much as I do!

Below are the ingredients, listed for those with sensitivities:

Active ingredients: Octinoxate 6%, Octisalate 4% (sunscreens).

Inactive ingredients: Water, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Dimethicone, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Hexyl Laurate, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Squalene, Jojoba Esters, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Propylparaben, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Trisodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Sodium Hyaluronate.

May contain (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI77492, CI77499), Mica (CI 77091).

This moisturizer can replace the need for foundation. My skin is typically clear. I choose a concealer to spot cover when necessary and the tinted moisturizer to tone down redness and provide a natural enhancement for the skin.

I have been applying it consistently for a few months and a neighbor in my building stopped me to inquire about what products I use. She thought my skin had a really soft and healthy look. Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer offers the option of natural looking coverage that foundation can't always deliver. Paired with a concealer, this moisturizer can make healthy skin seem virtually flawless.

I also appreciate how it offers a quick way to improve the appearance of the skin. When I am in a hurry, I can smooth on a light layer of tinted moisturizer and feel ready to walk out the door with some added lip gloss and mascara. Any product that can help simplify my make up routine on hectic days is certainly a welcome addition to my cosmetic bag!

If you desire subtle, natural coverage and sun protection in one product, Hard Candy Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer is worth adding to your beauty essentials.

  2. Wow, I've been on the lookout for a tinted moisturizer for quite a while, but everything seemed too dark and too orange for me.

    SPF, too? Now we're talking :D !

Since I'd have to match myself online: do you, by any chance, know how the shades compare to Revlon's Colourstay? I'm 150 Buff.

  3. Silva: I do wish Hard Candy was available worldwide. It would be worth swapping for some of their products. A lot of US ladies have Walmart retail locations nearby.

Ana: I live downtown so there isn't a Walmart in walking distance. I wish I could check and compare them for you. I can say the colors are very neutral. They don't seem to lean too pink or orange.
